2013 Honda Odyssey Key Fob Programming

You can program Honda keyless remotes yourself by cycling the ignition. This erases all current remotes, so reprogram every one you use (up to 3). Each step must be done within 5 seconds of the last.

1. 1Turn the ignition to ON (II) — the dash lights come on. Press LOCK or UNLOCK on any remote (an unprogrammed one is fine).
2. 2Turn the ignition to ACCESSORY (I) or LOCK (0) — the dash lights go off.
3. 3Repeat that pair — ON then press, then back to ACC/LOCK — three more times (four times total). On the last one, the door locks cycle to confirm programming mode.
4. 4Press LOCK or UNLOCK on each remote you want to program. The locks cycle after each to confirm it was accepted.
5. 5Turn the ignition to LOCK (0) to exit programming mode, then test the remotes.

Your 2013 Honda Odyssey key fob uses a CR2025 3V lithium coin cell. A fresh one typically lasts 3–5 years.

How to replace the battery

1. 1 Slide the release latch and pull the metal emergency key out of the fob.
2. 2 Use that key (or a coin) to pry the two halves apart at the seam.
3. 3 Lift out the old coin cell — note which side faces up.
4. 4 Drop in the new battery the same way (printed + side usually faces the back cover).
5. 5 Press the case back together until it clicks, then test lock/unlock and push-to-start.
